Hi,

I know the shopping cart feature is not going to be available immediatelly. Is it then possible to have a unique link associated with each image so that users can click the link and go to a product page on another website?

Yes, you could for example use the "custom" field by following the explanation here:

You could for example set something like: ...and then set this link to appear on image rollover, at the bottom of the image, with a white background ...

Seems like a feasible solution, no?

This is solution that will work in place of a ecommerce functionality but it's no replacement for full blown shopping cart

Why you don't include them links in descriptions? You can even generate folderdata.xml file with all links from DB.

I figured out how to add the button w/ the shopping cart symbol to an image. Currently, when I do a mouse over it says "Undefined". Where do I enter the URL value for that button. I don't see a field in "Manage".

How did you add that? I'm not sure you are operating in public realms ...

Themes > Image > ImageButtons then select Link.

This gives me a button with a shopping cart symbol. This was the purpose of my question. When I select Link, it displays the button but don't know where to enter the URL.

However, I also tried adding the link within the description and I think I like that a little better. Because it's always visible.

I think thats your best option for now. The "link" item isn't officially supported yet - Its been lying in hibernation and we will awaken it later.
