Suggestion: Allow users to upload image

I'm not sure if this is already implemented or has already been suggested; but allowing users to upload their own images would be great. Images that are uploaded by users then go into "pending" status; so they can be viewed by the admin before they're published on the gallery.

There should be rules such as image size allowed, file types allowed, and whether a user needs to be registered to be able to perform uploads. Categories are already created by the admin and users can only upload based on the subject of a specific category.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

a valid suggestion, and one we may consider ...

I will however have to emphasize what I have said earlier: We are precautious about adding too many bells and whistles. There are several galleries out there that are superior to imagevue when it comes to multiuser and community features(like flickr, mac galleries, coppermine). The main focus of Imagevue has always been the best possible way to display a portfolio or product-line in a stylish interface - Adding too many bells and whistles may undermine our core focus.

Karl,

I appreciate your efforts very much and I really love imagevue. I hope that 'uploads' get implemented and become an optional function very soon so I don't have to use more than one system of a gallery on a single website.
