Controlling Zoom Size?

15 Aug 2008, 11:57

It would be nice if we could optionally prevent a user from zooming in further than the original size. (Currently, it looks as though they can zoom a little further than original size).

Are there any plans for implementing some type of control re: this?

The gallery just keeps getting better and better, BTW -:)

Perhaps ...

If you don't want the user to zoom beyond original image size though, then perhaps you should simply remove the zoom buttons in first place?

The fitmargin/image_optimized setting will in any case try to display image at original size if it fits within screen limits, and then who needs zoom? Also, by removing the possibility to zoom further in that the original image, the zoom buttons will often have no effect at all, and visitor will perhaps think they are not working ...

I don't know...

I also think it would be great to limit the zoom zo max 100%. And perhaps disable the zoom button when the 100% is reached.

I would like it... Or am I the only one?

Actually, that is what I did...removed the zoom buttons. Cool feature though. Do you think there will ever be a way to limit the zoom? Or is that just not in the cards.

i'll certainly take note of it ...

One of the scalefactors, is to display image taking the entire screen(fullscreen image browsing), and that sometimes requires scaling images above their 100% size naturally. The zoom buttons simply reflect the scale methods.
