Need some help big time..

09 Aug 2008, 14:53

I currently switched my host over few weeks ago and have been working on V2. My website devinlefevere.net/mygallery as you can see is way off.

This is just a fresh install of V2 also. Any of you guys have any idea whats going on? The pictures from the content folder aren't even showing up like they should etc.

It also seems to not be saving any of my config I try to set. it just resets itself back to orginal .i.e - Site name

You followed all the setup recommendations, and set attributes chmod777 to folders and files that need it ?

Actually, I lied. I did on the old server but, not this one. i keep getting the error " error - 142: remote chmod failed"

Even though its staing that error all the files are 777 and look good to go.

i did sorry. i set everything to 777 still having weird issues. you can even try yourself... even chaning admin/admin will reset it's self as soon as you try to config.

i just downloaded the newest build just to make sure it was alright also and nothing was corrupt some how.

Well I'm afraid I couldn't help you solve your prob...
If everything from your host is OK, I hope Pain or Karl would be around soon to help you.
Did you also check for all that folderdata.xml files to be present in your created folder ?

Edit : didn't see PAin was already on

500 'SITE CHMOD 777 /devinlefevere/mygallery/imagevue': command not understood

Is there something to set up within your hosting server ?

that's the same problem i was having. I was currently using the "windows" host and switched it oevr to linux just shortly ago which is suppose to give support to file permissions.

i Think that was my problem to begin with. Might have to wait it out and see. thanks for the help though. it's currently pending :?

That was the problem! i'll be damned. I guess I accidently selected the windows hosted server instead of linux. Works great now.

Hmm sorry, sometimes I miss updates in topics, forum isnt 100% reliable it seems.

Glad you resolved it though, also chod is *nix thing, and if you host on Win it won't work. Also if you have issues on Windows, the only thing you can do (except bug-reporting) is to contact tech support there. :/
