This should only be done to specific folders/images, so the rest would stay the same as it already is.
Don't know how hard it is to implement it, but it would be to cool

A feature to show larger panorama's
Maybe it's possible to add a feature to show larger/wider panorama pictures? Now they just are resized to the width of the stage, but it would be cool to set a maximum height and then be able to scroll trough it by moving the mouse from the left to the right, just like the thumbnail scroller at the bottom.
This should only be done to specific folders/images, so the rest would stay the same as it already is.

nice idea ... but perhaps jhamrick is right.
Making the zoom option mouseable(what a word :p) when it reaches the max size would be the best way to go IMO.

Well, I make lots of panorama's, and I don't think moving over the entire picture will increase the user experience. However, only moving from left to right will, and I hope it's possible to implement both options.
I want to keep my website simple, and most visitors won't even notice the zoombuttons. IMO they don't need to but if they move there mouse over the picture, which will happen, than is slides nicely from left to right and back.

Since panorama images have their long side horizontally, the max zoom/image display option will set the image to scale 100% vertically to stage size(not cutting away anything vertically), but horizontally it will be cut off of course, and therefore only horizontal scrolling motion would be included anyway.
In addition to the scrolling feature, of course there needs to be a feature to be able to set display method for every folder, so that you can set a specific display method for panorama images.
I imagine that you don't want the panorama image to scale to fit the stage vertically though, and that you want to keep some margin there? That would require building a new image scale method ...

The way I think the best implementation would be (, for me that is):
Just enlarge the picture when clicking on the tumbnails without zooming. So that you have all the information/tumbnail scroller/menu/previous&next buttons all on the page like it normally would. However the resizing to stage would only check the vertical height of the picture, and so the horizontal size can be wider than the stage itself. When moving with the mouse over the picture it then slides from left to right, depending where the mouse is. Just like the tumbnail scroller.

Using the margins like it normally would when opening a 'normal' picture. So below the panorama there still is the tumbnail scroller and navigation buttons. Above it the filename etc.mjau-mjau wrote:... and for the vertical height, do we scale it up to stage limits or within some boundaries/margin?
Didn't want to start a new page, and couldn't exactly find an answer to my question so here it is- will it be possible at some time to be able to pan inside a zoomed image? In the old version was this little window, showing you where you are at the zoomed area... but I think panning will be great enough, because you now are zooming only in the center...Correct me if I got something wrong, thank you!
