FIXED: Admin login issues since the 8/4 patch

Hi,

First of all, thanks for all the people who has been involved in developing V2. I had been testing this since the beta launch.

With the recent patch, I have been having problems on logging into my admin page.

I have chmod 777 on users.php, config (folder), themes (folder)
I have replaced all the files/folders except the content on this patch.

I believe this issue might be isolated to me only as most of the users dont seem to have a problem. I have used Firefox 3 and IE7 for logging in.

The default User/Pass is used. - admin/passwd

I'd appreciate if someone can help me out debug this.

Thanks and Best Regards,

Hello,

To solve the problem I would advise, don ´t replace files, but delete them first and then copy your files.

You could also use another ftp-client. Some Older ftp-clients do not set CHMOD always as should be.
For example use for uploading and CHMOD the newest ftp-client Filezilla 3.1.0.1. Use ´automatic ´ transfer.
Download: Filezilla 3.1.0.1

Good luck !

What I could do is send you a surely working protected.php
but you would have to correctly chmod it offcourse.

I would follow Hemmy's suggestion ... frankly because Filezilla kicks ass ;)
And is easy and clear to work with

Thank you for reporting this bug, we've been able to sort it out and releasing updated version tomorrow along with another critical login routine fix.

Thanks for all the comments.
I'll try Filezilla and report. Good thing this was addressed on the upcoming patch as well..

Update:

Used filezilla with same outcome. Changed the file attributes to "777" for users.php, config and theme directories/subdirectories.

Have the same issue...Hopefully tomorrow's patch should address this..

Thanks,

Harikun
