Directory

Will you be posting instructions for running the new Imagevue from a directory other than the standard "Imagevue"?

I've changed references in all places I could find and was still unable to get it to run properly.

Cheers

You can put it any directory, admin functions will reside in "yourgallery/imagevue/" still.

"imagevue" is only the relative name/path to your admin. The path to your actual frontend gallery, you have to choose yourself. Are you looking to change the pathname to your admin also?

Is there any reason for that?

My number one reason would be to just have a better understanding of how everything in Imagevue works together.

It wont work if you rename admin folder, it relies on some paths which should be present where it expects them.

Basically we stacked all scripts in the imagevue folder to keep things nice and tidy. Scripts, and even the SWF gallery itself utilize files inside the "imagevue" folder, so it is hardcoded.

It is of course in theory possible to change if we we add the foldername to some common ini file, but this will have to wait for now ...

White Labeling

For someone who is hoping to offer this to my clients, removing/hiding the imagevue branding and possible indications would be a good thing as clients have a knack of finding out and bypassing ourselves - sounds paranoid but is in fact human nature, keen world out there, not everyone of course - customising the look with my own branding would be great.
