When I first enter the site the loading cursor is in the middle of the screen, but from then on it's way off to the right, can I modify where that is displayed through any of the configs?

Is this with the version before or after 20080728? We fixed preloaders in that version ... Perhaps you can give me a screendump if your error is still persistening after new version?

Yes, that's how we made it ... Before, preloader graphics were on top of image, rendering it often hard to see or obscuring the image. We chose to keep it more subtle, and have it beside the image instead.

The preloader displays in the middle of the screen if there is no image present(for example when clicking an image from thumbnails mode).

Anyway to make the previous preloader an option? I was actually a big fan of the actual graphic, I was just hoping for the ability to be able to specify a location for it.

hmm, I might consider the old graphic circular graphic ...

But about positioning, where do you want it located? I was thinking about simplifying some things - If I add positioning options for the preloader, it will be crashing with other items, and user will be posting in the forums "Why is my preloade overlaying the next button?" etc...

LOL! True! I just wanna try playing with it... is that something that could be straight in the config file but not in the menu or maybe there should be an ADVANCED set of options for people like me that want maximum customization?

I know what you mean though about wanting to give enough but also not setting yourself up for endless headaches with it.

Previous loader was much more discreet and i think you should bring it back...

You mean that big round thing? If we do, it will still be positioned at the image bottom right, and perhaps a little smaller. Also, it will be created to inherit colors from the background/foreground(unlike before).

I know that it is not easy to make everybody happy

If you want to use this new preloader i think it should be located on the photography in the middle... it is just too big and doesn't look god at currently position ...

What about something like this:


Or as you suggest you can use this big round one but make it little bit smaller... in my opionion position is ok but it have to by more discreet...

Its somethling like that I was thinking also ... I just think that it perhaps should have a %loaded indicator also. The one in your snapshot is the loader that just indicates something is loading, but doesnt say how much of it is loaded(We use the for XML, scripts and minimal size files like thumbnails).

I think I will have to put a small circular preloader(with progress indicator) there...

both bar and circular is ok but the position is much better in the center.
i think it would look better if the bar is very think and the preload is like a blur like in the audio.

Now take look at this:



Loader appears there (at the top on the left site of photo)... it is happening when while viewing phots i am changing the gallery (by selecting it from gallery menu)

i kinda like the last one art. its uniform if all preloader is on the same position.
