HTML code in image description?

I'm not sure if this is an error or if it's just not supported. When I put an a href tag into my description, it doesn't load into the gallery. It's almost as if it's not even there. I made sure to put it in correctly including the opening and closing tags, but it's still won't show in the gallery.
Is this a bug or error?

Are you using the last update(20080728)? I believe this may have been fixed ... If not, and the error still persists, please send link to your gallery with example... I just tried it out here, and there was no problems.
