Can you somehow change the dimensions of the display area of a picture, or is it locked to a certain size? Especially the height I would like to change.
I have my galleri here:
http://flaskeposten.dk/billedgalleri/
There are only to pictures. The graphic picture has the dimensions 800x500 and the picture of the sleeping drunk guy is 800x600. but the last picture is smaller than the graphic picture. is that because it's to high(600)??

you have autoresize enabled in your theme. Image display area i dependent of your browser window size (in pixels). Try to see your webpage on a higher res display or in full screen mode. you will see that the second image is bigger than the first one.

Autoresize will only affect wether the image size itself is altered within it's allotted space.
What you want to work with is the image margin setting within your theme. In Themes go to:
Image > Margins (just above the autoresize button)
You can also experiment moving the main controls closer to the margin and alter it's size. In your theme look at:
Controls > Main Controls > margin: (to control the margin)
Controls > Main Controls > Button (for the width and hight adjustments)

By default, imagevue automatically fits any image within the "margins". The margins are created to give a minimum space for navigation and controls. This will especially be noticeable on portrait images, as they do not share the aspect of a normal screen/stage. They are therefore often cut down in height and width to fit within the margins.
