My 'super-rough' version 2

Thanks guys for getting that beta out, couldn't have been easy!
After I was finally able to get some time and fix some back-end
file permissions issues, I got a rough beta of your
v2 gallery going:
http://www.christophergrant.net
Naturally I have a zillion questions and need a zillion more hours
to clean things up and make things look right, but all things
considered, I'm really looking forward to making this my main
site soon!
Thanks and opinions welcome!

Whoa, not bad! What's with menu? Did you try [x] text page option in admin?

Yeah, I tried the extra page option via admin, but as I understand
it's not quite ready yet. Just wanted to try it anyways, on the off
chance it was ready.
Thanks for the kind words!

Tack!
But these are just temporary placeholder photographs until the final,
publishable version of the site is ready to go.

Seems like you need to get todays update 20080730 that fixes the critical bug on your site.
I saw your gallery earlier - Can always count on your photography to make the gallery look good =)

Thanks Karl,
I'm in the process of making the beta my live site now, will take awhile as
have to reset permissions and what not, which unfortunately takes awhile
via my provider.
Hope all is well,
Christopher

Morning all,
I was hoping I could get a few of you all to review the site and give
some constructive feedback? Mainly in terms of ease of use, graphics,
etc...
Thanks in advance!

Chris,
First off...your photos are great. I followed your website when I first installed V1 a few years back and it is great to see your newest work.
I really like the simplistic yet professional feel to your customization. The photos you have selected compliment it nicely. It's easy to navigate and I like that you don't have too many galleries and not a whole lot of photos either.
My only suggestion would be to add another <br> before "Associated Press" on your bio page to bump that line down below your portrait.
Keep up the good work!

Thanks Tom,
Appreciate your kind words, will look into that extra <br> !
Also stopped by your site as well... makes me miss all the
American football living out here in Sweden!

Not much more to add than what has been mentioned earlier, and of course your photos speak for themselves.
Let me see if I can get picky about a few things:
# The "associated press" heading under BIO should perhaps be located under the photo? Flash textfields are a little hard to work with sometimes, but you should be able to solve that with sufficient <br>'s.
# Is it just me, or is the "startgallery" folder identical to "form & shape"? Perhaps you are trying to set up a folder to show a few various images on startup? Did you know you can set that folder to "hidden"(so it will not show in the main menu), but still target it to be the startfolder?
# Another issue I am lingering on myself for the default themes ... By default, when clicking an image, should it go back to thumbnails, or should it goto next image?
Other than that, you have a clean interface easy to navigate. I see you have relatively small image sizes, most likely to avoid images being resized downwards? You may be interested that the quality of resized images will be dramatically improved in next release - Read my last post here:
