Thumbnails from 1.8 are incompatible with 2.0 if they have the extension .JPG in upper case.

When I try to run 'create thumbs' the server comes back frequently with 'server error'

Theres 250 images in a folder around 1.5mb each. The script is timing out. Thumbnail creation 'on the fly' in 1.8 worked far better than this

I don't think it is related, but are you using the latest update from 21. July?

Anyway, we are going to create a thumbnails tool in admin that creates thumbnails hasslefree, both for single folder, and ALL folders.

We don't have imagevue thumbnails on-the-fly for the flash frontend gallery because:

#1 It creates more of a strain on server, even if thumbnails are already created, it has to go through a PHP script.

#2 Setting in the admin forces the user to actually set permissions so that thumbnails can be saved before proceeding. With V1, many users were still using the gallery without setting permissions, creating a heavy toll on the server having to create thumbnails every time for every file for every visitor.

Using the latest version and getting Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 20 seconds exceeded in ..... user/htdocs/imagevue/include/ivImage.class.php on line 51

Can't keep hitting recreate thumbnails as it overwrites the ones that were just made...

Yea, I'm having this same problem... Trying to recreate thumbnails make the server time out.

This one is adressed already. Wait for updatelog to change.
