Menu bar options, change "Gallery Menu," Startimag

17 Jul 2008, 18:10

Greetings... I love the new gallery. It looks great and I really think it'll be cool once the bugs are fixed. For now, I have a couple questions on possible options:

1. Is it possible to change the text where it says, "Gallery Menu"?

2. Is it possible to have a "startimage" like in the old version?

I would like to use this software as my main website, but I'd like to not have the navigation bar and thumbnails at the bottom of the opening page.

3. As with the old version, can we add text above the photo and a menu bar at the top of the opening page?

I am also still having problems creating new folders from the admin, but I'm following the thread in the "bugs" section.

Yes - In the admin,You need to goto 'config', and select "edit english language"(or the language you are using) on the far right.

We are working on some optional schemes for using the gallery as main website. Primarily some reincarnation of the sitemenu from V1, and some nice startimage feature. Thanks for the tip! If anyone has any requests or suggestions, please tell us!

I presume you mean the "sitemenu" from V1 - Yes, we are working out something similar. Hope you solve your bug, but keep in mind there will be several critical updates coming shortly.

So I found the "edit english language" menu, but it won't let me edit anything. Every time I click "save" it reverts back to the default wording. Maybe a bug?

While I'm typing, I'll ask something else here: I can't for the life of me figure out how to change the color of the text (descriptions) under the photos.

If your changes aren't updating it may be a permissions problem, need to be 777

Double-checked permissions for "lang" folder and "english.xml" file and both are set correctly to 777 with same problem.
