Imagevue compatible web hosting

I have started this post to keep an updated list of web hosting companies that support the Imagevue gallery. There are of course thousands of compatible server hosts, but this list will act as 'certified' suggestions. If anyone wishes to add to the list, please reply to this post the name/link of the hosting company along with the country/location, and I will update the list.

We usually recommend a LINUX+PHP combo for Imagevue - Imagevue Requirements

I use an excellent hoster in Germany for all my domains and clients.

http://www.df.eu

It ´s in German. They have a toll free number for Austria and Germany for service and are super professional.
I leased a server there.
Their backoffice is one of a kind and you can even offer your clients their own backoffice as a Reseller.
Really worth trying them.
I tried different ones. Now I join them for about almost 2 years - never had a problem.

Company is called: DOMAINFACTORY

Ditto 2 bluehost.com

LOTS of space to boot. I currently have 300gb (newer users get more). Not that I'll ever use that much space! -;)

I use M8 internet (Schotland, UK) and their service is fantastic and reliable. You can have a hosting package from 1 to 40 pounds... but a good one for the average user is this one I think.

* £5.00 per year
* 500 MB Web Space
* 5,000 MB Bandwidth per month
* 5 Mail Boxes
* 5 Mail Forwarding
* 5 sub-Domain Names
* 2 MySQL Databases

Why not visit my site....

Hi all,

Perhaps a nice topic here, but it would be great if you not only post your hosting company, but also a link to your gallery. Then we could check if the loading speed is good enough (I suppose that a good hoster in the states does not always have good response times in EU.
Therefore, would be nice if I could test some gallery's (old and new ones)

Thanks in advance for your gallery links + host links.

Thijs

note; my site: http://www.lowagie.be is hosted at http://www.site5.com
and here in Belgium, sometimes (read mostly) it's not fast enough to be nice and fluent (slow loading time)
=> UPDATE; new hosting company I use now, based in Belgium, speed in belgium is EXTREME good. http://www.priorweb.be

I don't think that list is really worthful, any professional hosting with normal admins and support should handle gallery just fine. But again, if its helps somebody - great.

Just this list should be miles long in reality.

I use imagevue now on apthost.com.

A hosting with FAST servers and with many features.

I have been choosing to start from "scratch" now again with the site.

The site is: photogallerix.com

I think apthost.com is worthy to be on the list...

Webhost as Fast as imagevuex demo galleries?

Hi all,

Seriously considering imagevue now from what I've seen its MAGNIFICENT! (looking forward to the password protect galleries).

Essentially, what I'm wanting to throw out there, is if anyone knows any particular hosts that have everything that imavevue needs, has decent space BUT ALSO can load images as fast as the imagevue demo galleries? (Because omg they are fast!)

I've looked into iPage and JustHost (does anyone have any experience with these guys), they generally top the host review charts.. but I'm not 100% sure on their speed.

Does anyone have any experience with those two OR know of a similarly fast host? Admin, you wouldn't divulge which host you use would you? =P

Well, the surveys say 80% of people use IE, the only reason being, it's THERE, with no need to look for anything else.. I use all the browsers, but to date, Google Chrome outstrips them all, second is Lunascape ( for me) The blazing speed doesn't come from the server, it comes from the browser's cache system... Chrome is an EXCELLENT example.. it makes a cache of a site at 1st visit, then subsequent visits go at lightning speed because it only has to look for new or updated content to adjust the cache.. my full resolution images ( for me...) maybe some are 4 Mbs in size load in less than 1 SECOND, and I don't use any special system, just a Samsung Q70 notebook... my host is very good with unlimited bandwidth, but all hosts are only as good as how quickly your browser reacts to the cache, and many other factors, like time-of-day, traffic, ISP and so forth... most of the time, don't change your host, change your browser !!!

Thats certainly true. I use Chrome myself. find it unparalleled.

But the initial load is exactly what I'm talking about. I'm a photographer, my last site got new content every week. (And the local grandparents who badger me to put photos up for the local community activities that I shoot mean I have to put those up too). Not to mention OF COURSE I stream some nice bg music.

Doesn't matter if my browser is good. You have to adjust your systems to work with the users/customers. They shouldn't have to get new browsers for my sake, it should load fast the first time. Which is what I'm looking for.

The www.photo.gallery demo sites load lightning fast, clear my cache or even open the site from a newly imaged computer from work, the images pop up quickly. right now I have 100k jpgs and they still lag loading in my eyes.
