Password protections for maps

21 Oct 2006, 11:41

Maybe it's an idea to make an option to protect your 'private' pictures.

So you can protect your christmas or birthday pictures.
Only the people who know the password can see the pictures in that map.

Other maps are still accessible for everyone.

This will be integrated in a future release.

I'd love that function, and I think it would be great if it would be possible to password protect the album as a whole.

Just two cents to this as it may help with development:

When I have a client who wants to see the take from a shoot, I generally create a 'temp' version of imagevuex within a sub-directory of my website. I then give them the private link so that (generally) they're the only ones who could see their shots.

It would be useful to have a login imbedded within the imagevuex to unlock certain folders.

Perhaps this is already what you guys have in mind for version 2, but just wanted to explain my particular usage in case it helps.

Thanks for all the hard work!

I think you can just upload your files to temp/ folder outside of content/ (so it wont be displayed in menu) and use something like:

https://www.photo.gallery/imagevue/slide ... emoimages/

to display only that folder
