It would be nice to add the possibilitiy to have a video gallery wich would work as the actual one for photos. Just lauching a flv frame in the same window when you click on a thumbnail.
Then, you could close this frame by a closing cross, and be back to thumbnail view.
Opening a flv should be associated with a stopSound fonction if user has sound enabled in config. That allow to hear the music of the wideo whithout interacting with the site music in the same time.

Reading what you want made me think of this website that emulates that idea. I dont know exactly how they built this besides the fact its built in flash but thought this was really cool and unique.

Check this post: viewtopic.php?t=531&highlight=swf+mod

I think might give an idea. Maybe gonna need some flvplayer.swf and launch it with a parameter like ?movie=*.flv

i think it would be a cool feature to support videos and so on. is it possible to edit the slideshow e.g. to show an play pause button for the movie.

i think an integration of players like on youtube would be great. if u need help with php thats no problem ;) but flash ..

Thanks for the suggest
So we d have to use your swf mod, combined with a swf player (containing the wanted video) ?

Something like that yes, I think can pass file name/width/height as a parameter to player.

Just posting my interest, a client of mine wants integrated video in a gallery. Imagevuex fits pretty much perfectly apart from the integrated video aspect. Therefore I'm having to look in to other solutions (which don't do the flashy bit as well). :(
