elpd wrote:Hi There,

First of all, this new mobile version is awesome! I have been waiting for this for a long time.
Since i did the upgrade tot the Beta version everything seems to work fine bud now I discovered that the creation of thumbnails in the Admin is no longer working properly. The map rights etc did not changed and the admin is saying that the creation of the thumbs was done correctly bud the only thing I see for the new pictures is a standard Imagevue picture with a palm tree.
Is it possible that this issue is caused by the Beta version or is this more like a server side issue?

Here some more details:

- The re-creation of the OLD pictures is still possible!
- The creation of NEW pictures is not possible!
- On the Diagnostics pages everything is green (OK) including the File System, PHP check and the modules check.
- Every map and file on the server is CMOD 777

Regards Erik
I just downgraded to version X2.7.6.5 and now it's working fine again. So now I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the Beta update. What do you think?

The difference regarding thumbnail creation between Imagevue 2.8 and the previous versions it that now it tries to use ImageMagick if it detects it on server. This allows us to resize almost any size of image on upload and some other benefits. I suspect there might be an issue with it. Is there a way we could test what is going on? Could you provide the FTP login please?

The arrow on the right, it would look better always centered. Because when there is no description it doesn't look nice. It seems to align to header (title)

after I set 'resize trans' as false, the picture are not shown, only shows the thumbnails.

and if I set transition as "Motionmove", resize trans set as "TINT", do I have to resize all the image in the same size to avoid the transition in same album are not the same?

for example, picture 1,2,3 are 800*600, picture 4 is 800*599, picture 5 is 801*600, so the transition will be not the same, what I was supposed to do is set "resize trans" as false. I mean untick them. But after that, pics are not shown~

Hey!

Where can I change the text or language for the "back" button in the mobile frontend? Couldn't find anything in the language settings...

	<mobile_cancel>Cancel</mobile_cancel>

I have the same issue as this guy...

When viewing my website from Tablets and Smartphones the website is ok...
When viewing my website from desktop with FLASH, the images load properly as well... but when I load my website using HTML gallery I can load the thumbnails but when click to enlarge specific image it says "The image could not be loaded".

From the HTML address link it says... http://www.link.com/imagevuex/?/seascapes/ (example) but when you hover to a thumbnail you can see on the bottom of the browser like this: http://www.link.com/imagevuex/seascapes/IMG_5368.jpg. As you can see the /?/ is missing on the path.

Can you please advise which file to correct and on what line number? thanks!

I, too, have a thumbnail creation problem as described a view replies earlier. On the server ImageMagick is installed for our stock agency's website.

When entering a number in the 'Thumbnail Columns' Setting on an iPad the screen shows two times the columns (eg entering 4 results in a display of 8 columns). Don't know how this behaves on other tablets (not really a problem though as soon as this is figured out).

2. When I use my fingers to expand the picture... the web page expands and it is hard to recover to a place where navigation is smooth. The buttons and text get overly large and I end up having to close the browser and re-start. I think users are going to attempt to expand/contract pictures with their fingers... would be nice to figure out a solution that either lets them do it... or prevents them. Not sure what is possible.
3. Every now and then the thumbnail page has 6 thumbnails across... way too small. I have specified 3 in the admin.
1. What platform?
2. What platform is this? On iOS, you cant even scale the image. Trying to scale with two fingers, does all kindsa stuff to the browser default, that is not easily connected with the interactivity of the application itself.
3. Again, I gotta ask device platform and screen resolution. We do indeed "double" the amount of thumbnails on large screens, like for touchpads like iPad, and this seems to be a reasonable feature.

I'm really looking forward to this feature! Would it be possible to select specific files (images, videos) in a folder as well? I'm thinking of FLV files for flash gallery and MP4 files for the mobile frontend in one folder...
Unfortunately, it will only target folders. If you want one for FLV and one for MP4, then whey not make two folders? One folder for FLV, enabled only for flash version, and one folder MP4, enabled only for mobile version.
elpd wrote:Since i did the upgrade tot the Beta version everything seems to work fine bud now I discovered that the creation of thumbnails in the Admin is no longer working properly.
We added a new improved thumbnails creation scheme, but it seems some servers want to make a problem out of it. It will be fixed within next beta release ...

Perhaps, but this is just how the jQuery Mobile platform works, adding the arrow next to the TITLE of the menu item. We may consider changes here later on ...
Vincent wrote:after I set 'resize trans' as false, the picture are not shown, only shows the thumbnails.
This is not related to Imagevue X2.8 at all, so it is a bit counterproductive for this topic. Perhaps you could post in a new topic, and also include link and login to your gallery so we can check out exactly whats going on?

This will be solved in next beta release.

Yes it does because we found that an ipad by size and functionality should take double the amount of thumbnails as a mobile (or iphone if you like). You should enter the amount of thumbnails that you want on a MOBILE (eg iphone) ... This should probably be 3 or 4, and then on iPad it will double and this should seem quite appropriate. Dont you think?

Will look into this and hopefully have fix in next beta. Thanks!

Karl...

I am on a HTC Incredible... Android... 480 x 800. This only happens on the phone... not on tablets.

Any idea of when the next beta release is and what might be in it?

Ok, did some math, and this happens if you start the gallery in landscape mode, and it detects 800px width. Further research shows that Android phones do not double the density or report it in javascript like on iphone4+ or ipad3. So instead of reporting a small screen with high-density, it kinda thinks you simply got a quite large screen. We will need to work with some conditions here, probably for next beta ... Thing is, we need to display more thumbnails for devices with larger screens, because 3 thumbnails in landscape view on iPad 3 looks pretty bad, while 6 looks damn nice ...

Probably within an hour. In it will be bug fixes, and a global menu we are working on that is a bit un-styled for now. Not a fix for the above issue though ...
