HI all,

Firstly i need to say that V2 rocks, only been using this for a few days put its deffinatly worth every penny!!!

I was thinking about a preloader for each folder but maybe that would incur excessive loading times so i was wondering if it would some how be possible to say down load the thumbnails on the fly like they are currently but then also continue to load each image in accending order, this would mean users with slower internet connections for want to view the slideshows would get smoother transitions between images??

just a thought but be interesting to know what peopel think.....................................

cheers

Imagevue does actually load the "next" image in line, so that if they click next, and it is loaded, it will display instantly... and while they are viewing the image the "next" starts loading again. Unless the user is browsing very fast, he will avoid preloaders when using standard "next" navigation.

I think we need to be careful caching too many images. Pre-caching images in the background for users on slow connections might drain their ability to browse around altogether. Keep in mind that there are other scripts loading depending on what they click, and there is no way to be assured that they even will view the images that are being preloaded in the background.

This is certainly something we will consider options for, so thanks for your feedback!
