Cannot see/find the uploaded files

21 Jul 2008, 15:08

Hello,

Now, 21-07-2008, I have tried 5 betas.
With not any beta I could upload via admin any files from my computer to an existing or new created directory. The selected jpg.files seems to be uploaded, but I cannot see them anywhere in /content.
All the permissions (dirs and files as mentioned in V2docs) are set correct to 777.
I use Internet Explorer from XP Prof SP3 all upd. Also I use the latest Adobe Flashplayer. IV2 is on a Linux host (hostmonster.com).

Do I something wrong or is it maybe a bug ?

Thanxs.

Well, there are of course issues we face that are not directly related to the V2 development, but just as much may have been a bug for V1.

I suspect the upload script is placing the uploaded files on your server with incorrect permissions that make them unviewable from the www. We experienced this problem with our former gallery also on certain server. Perhaps you could give me a link to your gallery/admin and password? Post private if you like ...

Cannot see/find the uploaded files

Hello Karl,

I couldn't imaging it is a server problem, because I had the same problem on my own PC-XAMPP up-to-date webserver.

Also I installed Mozilla Firefox V.2.0.0.6 webbrowser on my Pc and Laptop.

See, now I (admin) have not any problem to upload (and see) files to (on) my IvV2 (21/7) website on my Linuxhost at hostmonster.com !
The problem is over now, also on my own webserver, by installing and using Firefox.

So I think Windows I.E. (SP3) and maybe some swf-based scripts causes the upload problem.

What do you think, can you correct this ?

Thanx.

I think upload issue was related to Internet Explorer, and I think that has been fixed in latest release 20080728 -
