You can set a password for any folder. Simply navigate to any folder in your admin, and see on the left there is a password field.

You mean you want to have the login redirect the visitor to a specific gallery based on their login? Unfortunately Imagevue can't do this ... Why not just give them the link to their specific gallery? For example like this:

You can additionally hide the folder from displaying in the gallery menu, so it will be a "secret" gallery only visible for the people who have the link. If you are more concerned, you can even add a password to the folder as outlined above.

You have produced a password for the ADMIN-area for your clients? I don't think this is what you want to do ...

Yes, why not? Seems like what you are trying to achieve. If you create users in the admin, you are just creating another admin-user ...

It doesnt work when adding a password? I will need to check that when you have set a password for it (currently there is none). Furthermore, you need to add the link like this with %20 for empty spaces:

I would actually question why there is empty spaces there in the first place ... Did you create this folder by FTP? Preferably, it should be named "kate-and-turlough", just to avoid inconvenient character conversions in your browser. Instead, you would set the TITLE "Kate and Turlough", which is what everyone would see in the gallery anyway.

You have specifically set this gallery to start as Filemod -> slideshow. You want thumbnails? then you need to set it as a normal gallery ... You can still force it to start in image mode, auto playing. Go to the folder in admin, set the folder to "gallery" instead of "filemod" ... Then you will need to go to settings and set startmode = image. Thumbnails are already created.
