changelog imagevue x2.8 for email image

10 Jul 2012, 16:00

Hello all!!

I have a little ask.
I saw on the changelog of imagevue x2.8 this :
Contact form sends e-mails with an image
can you explain me a little this? :/
and
Contact form spam protection
How it work? its transparency for us?

Thanks in advance! :)

when somebody sends you email by: right click -> "Contact us", the email will contain path to the content from where the email was sent.
If email was sent from an image page, then you'll see thumbnail of this image

I believe it's some kinda php script that detects if the viewer is a bot or real person...
But this probably better explain Karl or Nick.

For flash, there is no need for spam protection. For the html version, it checks if html, bbcode or hidden field is filled ... then it is considered spam. There is a hidden field, that is supposed to stay empty ... Spam bots will normally prefill this field "last name" with some random content.
