Thats 2 good question -

1. It depends on how large your images originally are, and how large you want them ... Most likely, if you have taken or received images from a digital camera, they are definately oversized for general internet viewing. You might consider sizes between 640x480 upto 1280x1024, but I would perhaps recommend 800x600 if you dont have a clue. Most users already have a batch image resizing utility software that came with their digital camera - If you dont, try irfanview www.irfanview.com

2. Thumbnails are usually created automatically, so you need not worry about this.
