Hi,
I was wondering if it would be possible to have an option only to zoom to 100% image size, now it zooms until it fills the screen, but I would like it only to zoom to its original size.

What happens if your original-size image is bigger than the users viewport? It will then be cropped when they zoom in, and not necessarily nice to view. Don't you think most visitors will instead want it scaled to maximum without actually breaking the screen? Im sure I would ... Maybe if I clicked zoom again, it would scale to original dimensions and scroll instead.grimurnet wrote:But isn't that the point of it, to zoom to see the image at it's original size if it doesn't fit the stage. Is it not possible to make that option for those who prefer it?
Yes it will loose quality slightly, although flash has a relatively decent scaling method. More than getting "pixelated", it will become slightly unclear/unsharp. Personally, I prefer seeing an image in 100% size, because this is always showing the image at it's best, no matter how good the scaling is up or down. I understand your concern of course ... However, if people want to click the zoom button, images will zoom. This is how flickr and picasa slideshows work also, and the loss of quality is not spectacular, unless you use very small images. I think the norm is to use relatively large images, perhaps 1024px long side? This way, images will often scale down at almost no visual loss, and still be big for viewing at original size. Those on very large screen who scroll further on a 1024px image, will get a very nice big image on their screen with slight loss of quality, but since the original image is quite big, this is not an issue in my opinion.grimurnet wrote:OK, you might be right on thatI was just thinking how the image would end if you have a very small image and then zoom it that much, doesn't the picture start showing pixels? And be unclear?
