I would like to use the persimmon theme and add my own logo to the background. I have tried to modify in flash and a bunch of other unsuccessful methods. Is there an easy way to add a logo to the background of one of the default themes?

I have figured out a way to have the logo on the swf file, however, no matter what I do, it always looks jaggy. The background in the swf file is really crisp and I want my logo to look as good as the background. I know about proper sizing and how to make the logo look correct on a web page but I know nothing about about flash and I wish I could get the time back I spent so far on this.
any help from anyone is greatly appreciated.

can you post a link or a zip?
It seem like you need to set the background to "NoScale" and align it properly... use the firestarter theme background as an example.

I can't seem to get the logo to show up on the site now. When I replace the background.swf file in persimmon with the modified one, the site locks up. Maybe I should start with the question as to what is the correct way to inert my logo into anyone of the these background.swf files in one of the default themes.
I was able to get it up and working. It still looks jaggy and that is what is really bothering me. I can't seem to get to look crisp and clean and I don't know why. tomsnyderphotography.com

Tom, there is a plethora of reasons for why your logo looks jagged. I looked at your example, and here is my advice:

It means that since the graphics in the SWF are vector, they will scale and look smooth no matter what. Your logo BITMAP however, will look jagged when being scaled. Why? Because it is a bitmap, and bitmaps don't look very nice when they are scaled.
Solution A: Recreate your logo in vector format in the SWF, and it will scale smoothly.
Solution B: Select another theme, or create a new background for the theme you are using. Basically, you would need to set the background to NOT scale, and therefore your bitmap should look smooth as it always retains original size.

Thanks, that helps. Can you recommend a file format the flash will accept and/or point me in the right direction for more information. I don't expect a huge tutorial on flash, I just need a little push to get me going.

Why not create a static JPG/PNG background in Photoshop or something?
Aim to align it in top left or top right corner, and integrate your Logo. Also make sure to make the graphic so that it fades seamlessly into the solid background color you have in your theme (so that it looks good). Then, in the theme settings make sure to align it properly, set it to NOT scale, and NOT repeat.
