stats.imagevuex.com

About 2 weeks ago I started using Imagevuex and I'm currently fine-tuning the configuration for my gallery. There is however one small problem that I can't seem to fix:

Every time Imagevuex loads in my browser, it's also connecting to a site called "[LINK REMOVED]". And sometimes this takes a very long time and therefore slows the loading of the gallery down.

I have a Commercial License, so I would like to change Imagevuex so that it does not connect to '[LINK REMOVED]' every time the gallery loads.

Can someone tell me where I can change that?

EDIT:
I'm using version 2.1.8.1 by the way...

Your gallery does ping [LINK REMOVED], but this is NOT why it delays. Its just that this "status" is set in your browser status field. The reason why it delays, is because it is loading the heaviest script in your gallery, which is the initial load of folders into the menu.

If you give me a link to your gallery, I can show you what scripts are taking time. This is related to either A) Your folder structure is heavy, or B) Your server is slow.

Additionally, I want to mention that we are soon to release a new version of Imagevue which has a CACHE function that will basically make your gallery run much faster. Please stay tuned!

Sorry for any confusion

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll wait for the update.

If you still want to have a look at my gallery, go to www.steffenkemme.nl/. The gallery will be the first thing you see.

The website is completely Dutch by the way..

My gallery is also loading very very slowly (the first time). After a refresh it is much better.

I tried to delete the folder with the most pictures in it, but I didn't see any difference.

But just out of curiosity: Where in the code can I change Imagevuex so that it won't ping '[LINK REMOVED]'?

Karl...does the Gallery's initial scripts also load hidden galleries, even though they don't show on the menu? In other words. Would having large hidden galleries cause the site to load slowly?

That's exiting. Will that have an effect on the X2 HTML gallery?

Sorry for the late reply everyone!

Sorry, this can't be changed ... I can guarantee that it has nothing to do with the slowness of your website. I can also confirm that next release of Imagevue will greatly speed up your gallery.

I can confirm that this will probably not speed up your gallery. The initial loading script has to read your entire folder structure anyway, even those that are hidden. The only difference is that it doesnt display the ones that re set to hidden. Again, this speed issue should be solved with next release ...

Trashed, and banned - Thanks for your concern!

That's an good question - The answer is yes, cache will also have an effect on the HTML gallery, because it also uses XML files, although parsed by PHP.
