Main control bug

31 Aug 2010, 10:39

I know is a little problem but I'm getting crazy with this. Since I updated to the last version the "main controls" appear in the left up corner, right over the menu, when I'm in a thumbnail page [inside the paintings submenu](and they are only partially working), it happens until I enter a image than if I go back to another year page they magically desappear, see this: Image.
All the times I enter a image the controls are in the right place and perfectly working, the address of my gallery is:
www.emmekappati.com/iv
and you can enter as admin/admin

Thanks a lot, your software is fantastic

This has a simple explanation:

You have set maincontrols to align to IBM (Image Bottom Middle). As you have noticed, there are TONS of options and settings in Imagevue. Unfortunately, not all of them work nicely together. For example, the align-to-image settings are made for galleries set up as slideshow only ...

In your case, when going into thumbnails mode, the controls are trying to align to the image which doesn't exist of course. I suggest setting it back to align to bottom of page ... This is better usability also, so that visitors have the controls in the same location and it doesnt move around.

Of course, we could add a fix so that the controls attach to below thumbnails in thumbnail-mode, but this would seem like somewhat of a "hack".

Perfect, thank you very much, I put the controls in the B (Bottom) they are a little close to the thumbanils scroller but it works, now I'm really satisfied with the gallery.
The only thing I wish for the future is a little bit more flexibility in the structure of the page but I understand tath with all the RAW work beyond the skin it's going to be very hard to obtain.
Thank you again,
Michele
