I have just noticed a bug that crashes your whole browser.
Make a folder, for example "asd". Then make a sub-folder with an image extension in the "asd" folder, for example "asd/dsa.jpg/". Then get an image, put it in folder "asd" and name it as "tn_dsa.jpg". Then put a picture in the "asd/dsa.jpg/" folder.
With that piece of work I tried to view a thumbnail of a folder in the flash gallery. Unhappily, it is not possible, yet.
Could you dear admins fix that bug and perhaps add there a new function, which allows us to show folders with the other thumbnails in the flash gallery?

Actually had the same thought - so sorry for hijacking your post for this purpose.
Maybe you can make it a "use as" function - where you also find the options folder, filemod, etc. You could then display the preview picture of the folder (maybe with some marking, like a frame, or a folder graphic on top), or a generic folder picture in the thumbnails.
I would love to be able to provide the visitors of my page a direct link to a subfolder (containing other folders) - similar to the html version of the gallery. But maybe a little more fancy, as it is the flash version.

Well, while I understand that you want to have folders dislplayed along the thumbnails, but unfortunately it's not achievable by the ways you tried.
There is indeed an issue with .jpg extension for a folders, but normally you can't name a folder like this from Imagevue Control Panel.
Also we point out to everybody: Please do not use special chars in file and folder names if you don't want to have problems accessing files.

DaHandy: Sorry, may I ask why you are trying to create foldernames disguised as filenames? Now, I am not sure where this creates flaw, but its certainly a recipe for disaster. Why would you have a folder content/image.jpg/image.jpg?? You cant fool the imagevue to think your folder is an image by giving it an image extension. A folder is a folder, and a file is a file. Even if you could fool the system, it would still try to open the item as an image, and would succeed badly of course ...
Seems like you are trying to create some thumbnails that link to a folder. Why not instead enable the LINK function for thumbnails? With this, you can create an internal link for some of your thumbnails that go to a hidden subfolder ...

And yes, I also found out that Imagevue doesn't support that. So please stop telling me the obvious stuff. Please give me a good explanation how could it work and why couldn't it.

Well, let me try to explain in short why your idea doesnt work - Because this is not a feature of Imagevue, and making a folder have a filename wont change that in any way. And like I said in my previous post, even if you could fool PHP+flash to think your folder is an image, why would it open it as a folder? It would try to open the image as an image, just like ALL the other files listed in thumbnails view.
The LINK function:
#1 - Go to admin -> settings -> settings.attributes.image, and add the "link" option by selecting it and clicking "save".
#2 - On same settings page, go to thumbnails.thumbnail.click, and set it to "link" instead of the default "open".
#3 - Go to "manage", click and folder, and then click to select an image. You will see a new field on the right called "LINK". Add a link to any specific folder or subfolder you want this thumbnail to point to. For example:

Now, when clicking a thumbnail that has a LINK applied to it, it will navigate the gallery to your specific link, which in the case of the example above, is to a subfolder. Thumbnails that don't have a link applied to them, will open normally.
