Hi. Is there a way to turn off the global shadow settings for the main menu? I love the shadow under my images, but it screws up my menu. Please know that I'm not talking about shadow under the menu items or description, but under the main menu itself - for example when it sits closed.

You mean when its collapsed and sits snuggly at the top of screen?
If you go to admin -> themes -> edit your theme -> menu.mainmenu.menuback.opacity - You can set the opacity to 0, but that is for the entire background block, but it will also remove the shadow. Unfortunately, there is no specific setting to just remove the shadow for this item.
