Video

18 Aug 2009, 00:29

I uploaded 2 flv videos but the menu just didnt show how many videos are in the video menu. Normally images will show like this Photos[10] in the menu. But the video folder in menu just show Video and when I click it, it just couldn't go to the video page. So I can only make the video page as the first page of the gallery?

Is there anything I could do to solve this?

Thank! :D

Are you sure you dont have flv disabled in supported extensions in settings?
Or try to click 'Clear Cache' in Imagevue Admin.

Actually last version shows count just fine. Could you provide a link to your gallery?

i solved it by duplicating another working folder. But the fileCount of the video folder is not correct , here is the link http://flamingomusichk.com/gallery/.

By the way, can I replace the default flv video icon thumbnail with a self custom thumbnail?

Thanks

Try clicking "Clear cache" from the admin menu to have the filecount updated.

For the FLV thumbnails, yes you can create your own thumbnails. Just replace the ones that are created in the directory as you see them in FTP. For example, if you have a FLV called "movie.flv", you would need to create a thumbnails "tn_movie.jpg".

2 more off topic questions... how to differentiate X2 and V2 because I forgot what version I am using.

Could I make the first page of my album like this one http://www.alexwisephotography.net/#/content/start/ . I see many of the showcase album use this effect which is very nice...

:)

If you have downloaded anything since last christmas, you are using X2. "X2" is simply our new analogy for Imagevue version 2(v2).

No reason why you cant set up a startpage like in that link. Just set a startfolder to filemod photoblinds with randomimage ...

Thumbnails should be named tn_filename.jpg

So you have, for example:

movie.flv
tn_movie.jpg

Also, be sure to clear your browser cache also. If still cant get it to work, please send a link to your thumbnail.
