Hi,

i'm using the white template, i want to make the gallery menu narrower, by default it's eating up a lot of screenspace, and overlapping images

any tips greatly appreciated

Have a look at the themes area of admin, under menu> mainmenu there should a few settings there that you can tweak.

Yes, try setting menu.mainmenu.menuitem.minimum_width ... Set it to 0, and it will minimize.

I have the same problem, but i don't find the node .menu.mainmenu.menuitem.

I have just the following:
.menu.mainmenu.folderdescription.enabled:
.menu.mainmenu.folderdescription.items:
.menu.mainmenu.enabled:
.menu.mainmenu.submenu_style:
.menu.mainmenu.close_same_level:
.menu.mainmenu.autohide:
.menu.mainmenu.startshow:
.menu.mainmenu.x_offset:

Anybody know, what's my problem?

Sorry, I should have stated that is in your THEME settings. There are two places to change settings from the admin:

1. admin -> settings
2. admin -> themes -> select theme to edit

This specific setting mentioned is in the theme editor, as it is related to the display/design of your gallery.
