I guess your question is: how did Christopher style his gallery like this? (Sorry Christopher for having to tear into the secrets of your customization).

1. This is generally a modified version of the white theme, which is provided along with Imagevue X2.

2. He has changed the background image to this: http://www.christophergrant.net/imagevu ... nd2009.png making it appear as if there is a "bar" at the top which includes the main menu.

3. His thumbnails are created at 110x200px, which looks nice with portrait images.

4. Other than that, he has changed the text style/colors a little in the theme CSS, and changed a few other settings in config.

I can ´t really say much more ...

What I want to know is how he made his menu header read 'Portfolio Menu' instead of "Gallery Menu," which is all I can get it to say.

Surely this can't be tooooo secret...?

This is the general language file setup. You can edit the language by going to the admin -> click "Languages" -> locate the "mainmenu" item and change the value from "Gallery Menu" to something more appropriate.
