i tried to use the files from flashupload 2.2.0 beta5 from http://code.google.com/p/swfupload/downloads/list, but the button still don't show up in IE8 (8.0.7100.0)

you can still enable the HTML uploader in Settings -> uploader and it will work in IE8.

Not working how? Button is missing? Errors? Files not appear?

Could you please provide a link and admin password to your gallery, I just tried with IE6, 7 and 8, despite some issues with upload button (which appears only after page refresh) upload works fine. Just want to see it on somebody else's server.

Interesting, I uploaded 3 files using IE6, 7 and 8. In ie7 upload button was missing at first, but did appear after I refreshed the page:

Check /#/content/test/ on your server.[/i]

Just latest flash from adobe, and refreshed using F5. Tried IE6, IE7 and IE8. Uploaded one file on each browser.

We're gonna release some minor update soon, and try to address missing upload button specifically.

Can confirm that I have the same problem on both IE7 and IE8 that the upload button dissapears.

Updated flash, checked on two servers, refreshed page... nothing helps.

Works in FF and other browsers.

Does it re-appear when you press F5?

No it does not.

Just tested now again, button was missing and opened another folder. Then button appeared again once new folder loaded. Pressed F5 and button disappeared again. Pressing F5 again a few times and it does not come back.

Go back and forth between folders and pressing F5, button still gone.

Close browser, open it again and load admin page and button is missing. Repeat opening folders and F5 but button is still missing.

I did submit this bug to SWF Upload buglist, also we tried to use some other embedding method but then uploader stops working. we still trying to hack our way around it, please be patient.

But I can swear, everywhere I try button comes back and stays after refresh.

Did you try with YUI uploader? You can switch to it in Settings.

Tried YUI uploader as well, and does exactly the same thing.

But when testing the swfupload demos, it all works in IE7 & IE8

Just does not want to work in Imagevue Admin

Just to make sure it is not a server setting problem, I uploaded the above demo files to my server and the demos still worked fine.

Tried the imagevue demo here on www.photo.gallery and does the same as well, no button.

Hmm we need to study this. There are some problems with IE8, and people aren't knowing yet how to resolve everything.

Maybe enabling 'Compatibility Mode' could help?
