Problem reported in diag with "basedir" and a bit

07 May 2009, 14:34

Diags show a nice big red "X"with the following text...
open basedir - No support on questions related to these restriction, just ask your hoster to disable this configuration option...

Thing is, it is disabled as the PHP info page shows and the hoster verified as well. So, what's up with that?

Then there are red X's on some files that are not writeable (the top 8 on the list in the "Diagnostics and information » File system" view). I don't recall seeing anything requiring these dirs/files to be "777". I'd like verification on this.

AND... I can't upload pictures via imagevue (error 406). FTP works, but I want to deploy this so an admin can do it once I figure it's ready for prime time.

Having the system with permissions set to "777" in so many instances makes me wonder just how vulnerable we are to mischief makers? Anybody?

--Thanks.

You have open basedir enabled, but if it works for you, fine:
open_basedir /home/dostalst:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp

Also you have mod_security2.
I'd recommend to disable it to fix error 406.
