?How to change dimensions of thumbnail tooltip box?

11 Feb 2009, 12:51

Hi, I'd like to make the thumbnail tooltip box smaller, so it doesn't bleed over the surrounding thumbnails.
Is this possible?

Yes, this is possible:
Go to admin, themes, edit your theme, thumbnails, tooltip, maxwidth.

Hi, thanks for the response -- but I tried that parameter, and all it does is "sets the maximum width of the tooltip text before it wraps to the next line" -- meaning in effect that with a lower value the box stays the same width, it just gets taller because it's wrapping the text after fewer characters...

Other thoughts...?
Thanks!

Not quite sure how you can make it "smaller". It resizes to FIT the text inside ... The only thing you could perhaps do, is reduce the margins around the text, but there is currently no option for that. We wanted to make good margins, so the text was easily readable and standing out when active...
