I have purchased v1 quite a while a go, and I can say I am pretty happy with it, however it is lacking 1 necessary feature - user management!
I had read some where (client area I think) that current users will have to pay for the upgrade, I don't mind paying for it, however if it does not have a user management feature - I seriously will upgrade/pay. Users have been whining for user management. Right now I have to use another system for user management, however recently I had moved to another hosting and my management script does not work anymore therefore nobody is able to view photos which is rather disappointing!
I would like a user management system that can actually be tied to users, e.g. when adding an album (through web admin) you can actually tie them to different users (i.e. all users, select group, select users.) And when adding a user, present a choice to tie to albums as users are added rarely). I use the imagevuex for personal pictures, and sometimes it is necessary for some users not to see pictures that are meant for others. I think you can use mysql (as it is available on practically any reliable host) or atleast a txt file that has to be placed outside of the root folder, and it can also be encrypted.
Seriously, user management is a feature that is extremely necessary.
