I would realy love to see a simple search function by tags or keywords.
Just add some keywords to pictures so that when someone searches by a keyword, all the pictures with that keyword are displayed...

One of the main attractions for me was that imagevue didn't use a db.

Imagevue is based on a real-time file system and doesn't use a database. If we were to integrate search, we would still keep Imagevue as it is, but perhaps create some script for indexing image data and storing in database ready to be searched.

Personally, I am not a fan of search functionality in the Imagevue gallery. Imagevue is meant for portfolios and showcasing, and I will be the first to admit it is inferior in terms of cataloging/archiving compared to flickr, picasa or some other database-driven galleries. I am skeptical to forcing features upon Imagevue outside it's "home turf".
