Embedding Imagevue V2 in DotNetNuke

17 Nov 2008, 02:46

I'm sorta new at this so the answer could be something simple and obvious but I'm hoping to get some help or at least to guide me into the right direction.
I've been playing with the DotNetNuke open source cms locally on my computer and plan to eventually deploy it on a live server. For those that don't know, DotNetNuke is based on the .NET Platform.
I've been able to(and still am) successfully embed imagevue V1.16 in dotnetnuke. I simply used an iframe module to incorporate in a page on my site. That no longer works with V2. It does not get past the dotted circle right after the loading progress bar disappears. I can successfully enter the html gallery and admin page and make any changes possible through that interface, so I doubt its a permissions issue. I also tried using the FCKEditor(text/html) module provided with dotnetnuke and used the code I found on this forums to embed the flash gallery, but I had the same results with the dotted circle. I tried these two methods mentioned above with version 1.16 and the gallery loads fine and is fully functional.
I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this same problem when trying to incorporate imagevue v2 into dotnetnuke or any other cms.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Explanation for the "dotted circle" may be if the PATH from imagevue to its scripts is not native for it. In that case, you need to use the globalpath parameter to forward the the relative path from the container document to the main gallery folder.

That's just because we hadn't put the SWFAddress javascript into that file. Works now ...
