1 question,
currently my v1 is hosted at company A. But i'll move to company B.
There, I would like to start with v2. Currently I'm testing/pimping v2 and when it's completely ready, i'll move to company B.
Now my question; is it possible to just take my v2 testing folder, take a backup and restore that backup on my new hosting company. Or are there any config files preventing this?

I did that with no problems, I just downloaded the complete V2 folder from host A to my desktop and uploaded the V2 folder to host B via my FTP software.
I was trying to test the loading speed of the hosting companies, but speeds vary by the time of day. If you need very fast speed, virtual servers are the best choice if you have lots of directory's & photos.

It should be fine, just remember you may need to set permissions on config- and image folders after uploading to new location.
