yes i agree . can i fix this ? in config --> thumbnail

There is an option in config to set resizetype="resizetobox" which makes your thumbnails retain their original aspect. This may not however be elegant in terms of layout.

In a future release, we hope to provide a solution where you can customize every thumbnail individually.

I think you mean custom thumbs for filetypes.

For images you can create custom thumbnails right now, just name them tn_[filename].jpg and replace automatic thumbs if they are created.

Ofcourse its better not try to recreate thumbs in those dirs after that.
