Any way to create (style) a two column table inside a textpage in version 2?

Question: How can I make the first page loader bg color black and the main menu bg color gray? they both take the same style...

the first page loader is the first thing you see when you enter the main URL then you see that loader...

When I first load the site I don't see a loader for the startpath gallery it just takes a second to load...any ideas on adding a loader so visitors know that something is loading...
