Fujifilm EXIF geotags not showing

16 Apr 2019, 17:31

Geotags in Fujifilm X-T3 JPGs are not being recognized. Acdsee Pro v8 sees and shows them. Sample photo attached. Believed to be EXIF v2.3.

I tested, and it works fine here:

If it doesn't work for you, I would initially need link to your website and link to the specific gallery that contains the image. Perhaps it's related to your PHP version, although I never came across this issue before.

URL sent via chat. Perhaps you can make sense of the "division by zero" error, too.

Geo
I can't see that you have enabled maps on the provided page. Maps are enabled in gallery layout caption items, and gallery popup options (X3 Pro). If you want me to investigate further, I will need to ask for panel login.

Your images is corrupted. Not uploaded completely, or is corrupted already prior to upload. See what happens when you try to load the image in browser:

If the image is corrupted, it is normal to expect that PHP will display errors when X3 cannot get the image details (width, exif, etc), especially since your server is to set "show all warnings and errors".

Umh, yeah, sorry about that. Upgraded to Pro. Maplinks turned on for gallery view and pop-ups.

Bump. The gallery settings are changed but the original bug remains: geotagged photos from my X-T3 are not showing a map link.

I need a direct link to the image/gallery you are referring to so I can diagnose. I already downloaded the image and tested it successfully in my original response to this post.

Yeah. I found some PHP config options that affect Fuji EXIF display. As a shared hoster, I can't change it. Thanks.

@mjau-mjau i have got the same problem or a similar one, i think

Link to the gallery:

http://aus.feichti.com/Australien/19-08 ... ore-Beach/

you see the photos from the Canon 5D MK4 have GPS Tags in it. I can see them in the file options, and in ACDsee or de Canon Tool i see the exact map location. But in the gallery i dont see the map button. The Button is enabled. i have enabled for that gallery the download of the photos.

I made also with the same pictures a panorama:

http://aus.feichti.com/Australien/19-08 ... rk-iv-0009

There i see the map button.
In other gallerys with photos from an Iphone X i see also the Map buttons.

Do you have got an idea what could be the problem?

Thanks Feichti

I downloaded one of the images, and the GPS map button displayed correctly in X3. I am not sure why it doesn't work for your specific page ... Can you try to click SAVE from that page's settings to refresh cache? If it doesn't work, I may need to ask for panel login so I can take a closer look ...

I tried to diagnose from your panel, but the same result. X3 manages to extract GPS from the long (panorama) photo, but not the other photos. Since the photo worked when I tested locally, I can only guess it's something to do with PHP version vs EXIF formatting. I see you have PHP 7.1 ... Does your hosting have the option to update to newer PHP 7.3? After all, this is the only difference between my local server and yours.

Another lead would be to check if there are any errors in your PHP error log.

If you can't update PHP or updating doesn't resolve the issue, I would need to ask for FTP access so I can test the images directly from a PHP exif reader script.

Hi Karl
I was able to install PHP 7.3.9, and changed the PHP Version for the subdomain. Now i see the Map Icon for the Photos :)
So that must be an issue with the old PHP 7.1 Version.
Thank you for the support
