How to change color of the grey pictures background in full mode?

Sorry, what do you mean "grey pictures background in full mode"? I would have assumed you spoke of the X3 POPUP (when clicking an image), but that does not have any grey background.

I assume that clicking button "toggle fullscreen" presents the picture in full screen mode. Is that right? And what's surrounds the picture is a background? Then my background is grey like ash and I would like to change that to be completely black or ideally semi transparent.
How can I change that?

Last minute observation: the background is grey in chrome only. It is black in mozilla firefox. Not bothered checking most populat browser IE :)

Ok, I can now assume that you speak of the SLIDESHOW module, since you mention the fullscreen button. This is of course just an optional gallery layout module. Do you have a link to the page you are referring to so I can check what it looks like?
