Google SEO

20 May 2017, 16:03

Hello everybody,

Where do I have to enter which terms Google may find my site better. Where exactly do I have to enter for my site http://www.FotoCopter.click, terms like "drone" or photography or my place of residence.

Many Thanks

I checked your website, and for some reason the <title></title> tag is empty, and so is the description. These items, especially TITLE, are important for SEO. I am guessing you wanted to hide these items from displaying on your index page? That can be solved in another way, but for the sake of SEO, you should always add at least titles:

Panel > index > details, populate the TITLE and DESCRIPTION:

Then, if you want to prevent these items from displaying on the page, go to context settings, and remove "title" and "description", so that you are left with only "content":

Your page will now have the important title and description tags, without showing them on page.

X3 SEO
X3 is already optimized for SEO (fast, mobile-friendly, semantic html5, tags), but your Google ranking will primarily depend your website popularity, quality of incoming links and your content (text). Checklist:
  • Page title is the most important tag for optimal SEO. Always populate this tag, and make sure to include important keywords. https://moz.com/learn/seo/title-tag
  • Although not used for ranking, you should also populate the description field, as Google will normally use this text when displaying your page in the search results. https://moz.com/learn/seo/meta-description
  • Apart from the above, Google will use the actual text content of your page. Make sure your main page content includes quality text and important keywords, some that are also used in the title.
More SEO
The above is as much as you can easily do directly from X3, and is the most important. If you wish to further improve SEO, the below are my suggestions:
  • Make sure you have matching Social media accounts on Google+, Facebook and Twitter. Update them once in a while, pointing to links/content on your website.
  • If possible, move your site to SSL (http > https) [ref].
  • Make sure your page url's are SEO-friendly.
  • Incoming links. This is the ultimate way to improve search-ranking, but difficult to achieve unless it happens naturally. Google ranks your page for a "search" based on popularity and incoming links related to the topic/keywords your website is about. If other websites/pages/social start linking to your website with phrases like "this company [link] does excellent drone videography", it will improve your chance of ranking higher for "drone videography" in search. This is a core part of how search engines function.
