As a hobby blogger, I used to write a short blog post every few months. This is now changing with an extended trip :grin:. 

Some friends want to follow me, but are not willing to check the website for a new blog post every few days, and I don't want to write Polarstep, Journey, Insta announcements, etc. Ideally, the more tech-savvy among them can subscribe to an RSS feed, where they receive a notification in their reader as soon as a new blog is online.
For the less digitally savvy friends, a newsletter function would be valuable, where they can register and then receive an email when a new blog is posted.

While searching the forum, I read a few things but unfortunately didn't understand the details in depth 🤪... What I found:

RSS-Feed: As I understand it, this does not work with notifications for new blogs.... BTW, I have added the RSS feed icon to the footer.  viewtopic.php?f=57&t=10715&p=50992&hili ... eed#p50992

Newsletter: Mailchimp integration was once on the roadmap viewtopic.php?f=57&t=9384&p=42542&hilit ... ter#p42542 quite a while ago...

For those who are also looking for a newsletter feature, I have found a solution and have now implemented it.

I use Brevo — the free version is fine for me.

How to do it:

1. Create a Brevo account
2. Create a form and integrate it into your site — it can be easily edited with HTML
3. DNS entries so that the registration process doesn't end up in spam
4. Create an email template for newsletters in Brevo
5. Done  :sunglasses:

I haven't been able to get the automatic email delivery via Brevo's RSS automation to work.
