Translate Page by Google Translator?

Hi,

I tried to translate a page with Google Translator, unfortunately it doesn't seem to work. It does not load the page.

As an example I would like to have the following page translated from German to English.

https://www.linsenschuss.de/blog/Astrof ... 11-EdgeHD/

This should be the google translator link: https://www-linsenschuss-de.translate.g ... r_pto=wapp

It loads only a gray page without content. Maybe i have to change a setting? Or is this not possible?

Thanks!

The new Google translate mechanism is causing Javascript errors in the X3 application. I sent Google feedback about this. Their new approach is not safe, because it takes the source codes and injects Javascript and CSS, breaking X3.

Thank you Karl,  for your clarification. Then we hope that maybe there will be a solution in the future.

Hi Karl,

I just wanted to ask whether, after three years, there might be a current solution for translating the pages?

Google Translate doesn't work, but there are several Chrome browser extensions that work. For example:

If Google translate breaks dynamic pages (like X3), there is not much I can do about that ...

I'm looking more for a way to put a link to a page in the gallery that automatically translates without having to install a plugin. As above, just the Google Translator link.

Ok I got it. Is this really required though? I don't see many websites that do this any more, and I can't imagine many people who don't speak the language of the website, just happening to land on the website. It doesn't provide any seo benefits or anything, and will basically display for all visitors, unnecessarily, even those that speak German.

Of course, I could simply write my articles in English and German, but it would be easier to just share a link. Most of my visitors are German-speaking, but every now and then I want to share one of my articles on an English-language site, so the Google Translate link is obviously the simplest solution.

I'm sorry. Google translate injects lots of stuff into the page when it translates it, and this breaks the X3 application logic. I can't just rebuild X3 around Google translate. In a future major release, it would probably be done entirely differently, but in X3, unless Google changes how it translates page, I can't just "make an external service that injects lots of stuff" work on dynamic pages like X3.

Ok Karl, thanks for the explanation.
