When I set the gallery assets to another folder in the gallery advanced settings of a page, could it be possible that the "insert image" button in the content tab displays those photos?

It could be, but what about those who want to add photos uploaded into the page. Setting a different assets folder for the "gallery" does not explicitly mean this should dictate the images available for the content.
Noted, although this is not curently possible.
