x3 33.1 or 34.2?
I am being offered 34.2., while my panel shows 33.1 at the bottom. when I click on update I am told „You already have latest version X3.34.2 installed.“ what's wrong, what's right ;-?

It looks like your main X3 website is latest version X3.34.2, while your /panel/ folder remains on X3.33.1. Some incomplete upgrade. If I was you, I would just leave it as is, because I don't think there is any difference in the actual panel between those two versions whatsoever anyway.
If you want to "get it right", I would go to the downloads page, click to download latest "update", unzip, delete the /panel/ dir on your server, and upload the /panel/ dir from the zip.
