Supporting the Photo Gallery

21 May 2026, 16:07

Hi. I am thinking purchasing a new license, since I already own 3, I would like to ask, how long there will be official support ? I mean the future for the CMS.

:green_heart:
I have no intention of stopping support in the near future, as there are many active users, including some new ones. There may not be many new features in X3, but there will be PHP/maintenance updates.

Thanks for prompt reply Karl. That’s good to hear that. Would love some new features or new plugins. But still happy with your response, then I will be getting a new license for my new project. I like the simplicity of it.

There’s one question I wanted to ask, how good the the X3 in terms of SEO?

In simplicity, as good as it gets. For optimal website SEO, you want HTML pages, with all important <meta> tags, options for TITLE and description, and obviously possibilities to add your own text and html content.

In perspective however, the above is only a minor part of SEO. The app itself can only allow a foundation to build the SEO basics. The SEO power itself, will come from how you write titles, descriptions, content and url's on your website. But more importantly, if your pages are linked to from other websites, and how search engines rank your website pages base don external signals. Then today, there is also AI, which is changing the SEO scene. Very difficult to rank high on any general phrases, unless you target a very unique topic.

Thanks. For you message. I do use the advanced SEO fields on each page. Does these improve the SEO?

I do agree about in today’s days with Ai, very unpredictable when comes to SEO.

Possibly.

Title could improve your SEO, because it populates the important <title></title> meta tag on your page, which is perhaps the single-most important SEO-related property on your website. However, it would only improve your actual SEO if the text here is different (longer) than the text in your actual page title (further up on the page). For instance, often you just want short titles "Fast cars", whereas the SEO title can be used to make "optimal" SEO-specific titles 60-70 characters "Need for Speed: Discover the Top 10 Fastest Cars on the Planet". The other options Description, Keywords and Robots will not have any direct affect on SEO.
