There is already zoom on panorama images, but only when there is sufficient pixels in the panorama to allow zoom on the display is is being viewed from, without upscaling pixels (which technically isn't zoom). For example, if you are on a large retina desktop or using a modern phone in vertical orientation, it's unlikely you will get much zoom. Yes. I know it might sound strange, but you gotta remember that only a fraction of a spherical image is displayed on the screen, and modern screens have quite high pixel density. I believe you can "allow" some more zoom by increasing maxResolution option, but this will basically scale images beyond their actual pixels, which technically isn't zoom but "upscaling".
