Unfortunately, the "X" is not included in the Font Awesome CSS used in X3, and those buttons are built specifically for font awesome. It would take a huge effort to create new buttons, to match the old ones, using a new custom icon. Changing the color is simple, but not the icon.

I figured out how to change in footer but I am struggling to change color in the toolbar
